    A 53-year-old Glendale woman suffered severe injuries Friday as she saved her pet from an attack by two loose pit bulls in her yard. The attack occurred about 7:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of N. Shasta Road, and the attacking dogs were later cornered by police in the 5500 block of N. 26th St. Two Glendale police officers shot and killed one of the pit bulls when it charged them, according to a department news release.
