    Roy Campanella, the Los Angeles Dodgers' chunky catcher, was reported "somewhat better" early this morning at the Long Island hospital where he lay, paralyzed and in traction, with a broken neck suffered in an inch-from-death auto crackup yesterday a mile from his Glen Cove home. A bulletin issued at 12:15 A.M. at the Community Hospital in Glen Cove said the paralysis was "unchanged" but added that it "would not be expected to improve as yet."

    Finley Middle School hosted the iDesign and Masters School with Glen Cove 2016 VRC Qualifier robotics competition on Jan. 16. At the event, the district's robotics team, "The Men in Black," which is comprised of Finley Middle School and Glen Cove High School students, was honored with the Sportsmanship Award. The Men in Black used two robots in the contest, competing against 30 teams from approximately 20 schools.
