    Tomas Mendoza-Medrano, 45, Marshalltown, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of 1st offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served and fined $500 and directed to pay $60 attorney fees and court costs.

Dean Fisher R-Garwin) in November. In unofficial results, Wrage rolled up 812 votes to a total of 184 for John Anderson, Tama.

    Garling Construction, Belle Plaine, was awarded the contract to build the addition to the South Tama Hgih School in Tama by the STC School Board meeting in speical session on Monday night, May 23. The Garling bid was $5,740,000, the lowest of the three received for the classrooms which will replace four portable classrooms and add additional space. At the Monday meeting meeting, Travis Squiers, Piper Jaffray, Des Moines, presented proposals for the bonds to pay for the work.
