    A man entered an apartment in the 4800 block of Pilgrim Road through a patio door while the resident was sleeping at about 9:25 p.m. April 19. The resident told police she woke up and saw the suspect crawl out of her walk-in closet, take her purse and run out the patio door. Cash was stolen from a residence in the 17600 block of Saint Regis Drive between June 27, 2015, and April 12. The victim gave police the name of a possible suspect and police are investigating.

    "It's devastating," said Maria Baloumbis, whose son goes to Amy Belle Elementary School with two boys who are left displaced after a fire consumed their home at the Maple Terrace Mobile Home Park off Hilltop Drive around 1 p.m. April 10. "I was in tears ." The boys' mother and sister were also inside at the time of the fire, but all managed to escape without injury.

And the Greater Metro Conference champion Indians took full advantage as they won five individual weight classes, including three pivotal lower weight brackets to edge border rival and North Shore Conference champion Germantown, 217-209, for the title.
