    Melvin C. Mathiak, who was born in Germantown on Nov. 15, 1927, and quickly moved to the Lannon-Menomonee Falls area as a youth, died at the age of 87 on June 28, 2015. He spent nearly 62 years with his wife, Jean, who passed away in January.
