    The Germantown baseball team has given North Shore Conference champion West Bend West some of its toughest games of the season and that trend continued in the WIAA regional final on July 15. The Warhawks took a 2-1 lead in the fourth on the Spartans and their ace, possible state summer player of the year Nathan Burns, but West took advantage of some opportunities in the bottom of the frame to score four times. Then Burns and teammate Anthony Schlass shut the door on the Warhawks as Germantown's season came to an end in a 5-2 decision.
