    A man riding a motorcycle stolen out of Chico, was arrested Saturday morning after reportedly leading Tehama County deputies on a chase that exceeded 100 mph. About 1:45 a.m. Saturday a man later identified as Edward, Reginald Thomas, 32, of Gerber, was seen speeding southbound on Highway 99W near Gyle Road, north of Corning, according to a press release.

    A motorcyclist was killed when he was hit by an alleged drunken driver Saturday evening in Gerber, according to the California Highway Patrol. About 5:30 p.m. the 36-year-old Gerber man had stopped his 2013 Harley Davidson southbound on San Benito Avenue north of Ramsay Avenue to make a left turn into a driveway.

    Red Bluff >> A Gridley man was sentenced to three years of probation Wednesday for his involvement in a suspicious relationship with a 14-year-old Gerber boy in April, including contacting the minor for lewd purposes. Alexander Isaacson, 20, pleaded guilty Oct. 14 to the charge of engaging in lewd or lascivious behavior with a minor, arraigning a time to meet with a minor and participating in an act of sodomy with person who is under 18. One of the four men involved in the crime, Thomas Seagraves, 22, of Red Bluff was sentenced to six years in state prison Oct. 31, according to a Tehama County Superior Court Clerk.

    Gerber >> A man who was allegedly trying to break into a Gerber home was shot to death Wednesday evening by the resident, according to the Tehama County Sheriff's Office. According to a press release, sheriff's dispatch received a 9-1-1 call at 6:12 a.m. from Kory Daniel Lefler, 31, of Gerber, who said he had just shot a man who was breaking into his residence on the 100 block of Mariposa Avenue. 1 comment
