    Senator Lois Wolk, D-Solano, along with Senator Jim Nielson, R-Gerber, introduced Senate Bill 234, a bill that will appropriate $19 million from the State's General Fund to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife so it can make past due Payment in Lieu of Taxes payments owed to counties. “This has been on ongoing issue for 14 years, during which time counties have struggled to tighten their budgets in order to fund programs and services for residents when the State stopped making PILT payments,” Wolk said in a press release.
