    MYRTLE BEACH, SC The South Carolina Air National Guard wants the public to be aware it will be conducting air defense exercises over Berkeley, Charleston, Georgetown and Horry counties on Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., according to a news release from the SCANG. Even though most of the flying activity will not be visible from the ground during this exercise, there is a possibility you might see fighter jets assigned to the SCANG's 169th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base escorting a single-engine aircraft belonging to the South Carolina Air Patrol, the release states.
