    It happened on Tremont Road near the Savannah-Garden City border. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department officials say the cyclist, 47-year-old Ronald DeGeorge, was making an attempt to cross the tracks on a bike ahead of the train's arrival when a CSX two-locomotive train struck his back tire and threw him off of his bicycle around 8 a.m. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries.
