    A West Virginia woman died Monday night when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was struck broadside and careened into a utility pole. According to the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dixie L. Lilly, 67, of Point Pleasant, suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle in which she was a riding was struck on the passenger side by another vehicle.

    Joseph Plymale took the stand in his own defense at his trial in which he is accused of killing John Sheets, 58, who was found dead in February 2014 in his Wray Road home from an apparent single gunshot wound to the back. In December 2014, Plymale's accomplice, Chris Bowman, 34, of Green Township, pleaded guilty to complicity to theft and receiving stolen property and was sentenced to four years probation.
