    A zoning variance for a controversial animal rescue operation, Critter CafA Rescue, will be considered by the Fruitport Township Zoning Board of Appeals 8 p.m. Monday, June 22 at township hall, 5865 Airline Rd. In 2013, the Zoning Board of Appeals granted a use variance for the continued operation of the Critter CafA in a nonconforming single-family dwelling on property in the B-3 Zoning District, subject to conditions, including a limit on the number of animals that could be kept there. The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider whether those conditions have been violated, and whether the use variance should be revoked, according to an agenda for the meeting.
