    At a Special Town Meeting at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, March 14, at the Freetown Elementary School, the Board of Selectmen are requesting authority "to raise and appropriate, transfer from available funds, or borrow a sum of money for the construction and installation of a water line to service the town's current police station, elementary school, and any other current and future municipal buildings, and any abutting properties..." The existing facilities are currently serviced by wells that are adequate for their purposes, but which require maintenance and testing as most wells do. There is a proposal to build a new police station, which would be serviced by the new water line.
