Jeffrey S. Williams, 29, is charged with murder, felony murder, armed robbery and weapons offenses in connection with the July 16 death of Hector Mejia , 46. On the eve of Williams' detention hearing on Wednesday, his attorney, Carlos Diaz-Cobo, filed a motion to have the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office recused from the case.
