Midcoast Conservancy invites all to a day of hiking and a farm-to-table lunch in Freedom as part of the third annual Goosepecker Trekker Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The recently completed 46-mile Hills to Sea Trail stretches from Unity to Belfast, crossing more than 60 landowners' properties and offering some of the finest Midcoast Maine hiking to be found. The Trekker route will start in Montville and end near the Freedom General Store.
