    A Fredericksburg man has been convicted on federal drug charges Thursday as a part of a conspiracy to sell heroin in the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County areas. Dustin Washington, 35, was found guilty on charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a kilogram or more of heroin and of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Norris Bridge on Oct. 25, after an annual inspection identified potential abnormalities in two of the bridge's pins, which help support the bridge beams and were installed in 2007.

    Khadijah M. L. Robinson, 22, of Fredericksburg, was killed Sunday when her car crashed on Route 721 in King & Queen County, according to Virginia State Police. "Shortly before 10:30 a.m. that morning, a 1998 Lincoln Town Car was traveling northbound on Route 721 about a mile north of Route 619 when the driver lost control of the vehicle," a Virginia State Police spokesperson said.
