But once the Grizzly Cubs settled down, it was lights out for Greenwood as Franklin rolled to an easy 25-13, 25-11, 25-11 win Tuesday at home.

    Police found that someone had likely come into her home through the broken window and taken her purse, and found that other vehicles were broken into in the Jefferson Meadows neighborhood on the east side of the city. At least four residents in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Williamsburg Lane reported a vehicle or car break-in that happened Monday night or early Tuesday.

    A 20-year-old man told police he had been paid to take thousands of dollars worth of drugs from Franklin to Southport, when the drugs were discovered during a traffic stop. Namneet Rai, 20, Indianapolis, was arrested on charges of dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, all felonies, and possession of a controlled substance.

    A woman who was caught shoplifting from a Greenwood store faces additional charges after police found heroin, syringes and pain pills in her purse, a police report said. Sarah Spencer, 28, of Franklin, was arrested on five felony charges and a misdemeanor: possession of a drug injection device, two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful use or possession of a legend drug and theft.

The robbery downtown happened just after 5 a.m. The robber came into the gas station with a knife and demanded money, police said.
