    A student at Frankenmuth High School is charged with making a terrorist threat after police were told of a message sent on the social media application Snapchat. In response to an investigation by the Frankenmuth Police Department, the Tuscola County Advertiser reports, the Vassar teen has been charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony under state law that carries the potential for 20 years in prison.

    The $45 million project to widen and rebuild a section of Interstate 75 in Saginaw County is starting again today. Lane closures along the north and southbound lanes of I-75 are expected throughout the 2016 construction season, starting Monday, March 14. The hope is that widening the section of I-75 from three to four lanes in each direction will better accommodate the heavy tourism and weekend traffic typical of the area, according to MDOT officials.
