    Fountain City, Ind. - Kenneth L. Cadwallader passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at his home in Fountain City, Indiana surrounded by his loving family. He had been in failing health since 2007 when he had many strokes following surgery. He was born on August 16, 1945 to Melvin and Pauline (Kenworthy) Cadwallader. Ken lived in Randolph and Wayne County his entire life. He was an avid Civil War buff and loved traveling to Civil War sites. He enjoyed all things John Deere and anything oil or motorcycle related. He also had an interest in antique 2 cylinder tractors. He traveled many miles on his Harley-Davidson until his health failed. Ken retired from First Bank Richmond after 42 years of service. He started in 1968 as Customer Service and Collection Manager of First Federal Savings and Loan. In 1972, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President. In 1986, he was named Vice President Head of the Mortgage Loan Department. He spent the last few years as Branch Manager of the Northside Branch. After he retired he went back to First Bank to work part time with the "Cellar Crew" doing odd jobs and running errands. A graduate of Indiana Business College, he held Certificates of Achievement from the Institute of Financial Education including Real Estate Law and independent studies in the area of appraising. He had been on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders of Wayne County, Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and Realtors of Wayne County. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church where he was treasurer and drove a church bus. He also attended Spartanburg Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jane Hollinger Cadwallader; his son, Aaron (Kelley) Cadwallader of Portland, IN; his daughter Kim and her husband Joe Seagraves, of Lizella, GA; his granddaughter Katy (Brandon Floyd, Kelly, step-grandchildren Britny Cooper, Brett Seagraves, Brandon Seagraves, all of Georgia, and Scott Kelly of Richmond, IN; his great-grandchildren Cheyenne, Lane and Ryley; his sister, Patricia Sherwood of Florida; his sister-in-law and her husband Susan & Darrel Chenoweth, nieces and nephews and his very special buddies Molly and Scooter. Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother-in-law Oslo Sherwood and his father and mother-in-law Ira and Pauline Hollinger. Ken's family sends special thank you to Dr. Kumar and his staff and to the Hospice Advantage Muncie Staff. Memorial Contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice Angels Foundation, 3640 N Briarwood Lane #1, Muncie, IN 47304. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South in Fountain City. Burial will be in Quaker Lynn Cemetery.     Fountain City, Ind. - Timothy Lee Hoober, 60, of Fountain City, passed away on Sunday, March 22. Tim was born on July 27, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Kenneth and Oneda Mosier Hoober. He married the former Sharon Smith on October 12, 1974. Tim was retired from Dana Corporation after 30 years of service in the machining plant. He later drove a school bus for Richmond Community Schools for 5 years and was currently employed with Tom Raper RVs. A gentleman farmer, he enjoyed living on his farm in a house he built himself, utilizing his love of woodworking. He loved all kinds of animals and working with kids. He put these interests to good use when he was active in 4-H sheep activities. Tim will be missed by his wife, Sharon; son, Justin Hoober and his companion, Jenny Weadick; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Christopher, Bryson, Vivian and Julian; sisters, Florence (Ralph) Weist, Peg (Jim) LeVault, Joyce (Furman) Bagwell and Jackie (Garry) Kincaid; brothers, Mike (Nancy) Hoober and Terry (Vicki) Hoober; sister-in-law, Mary Hoober and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gordon Hoober. Pastor David Anderson will conduct a funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, in the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Family & friends may gather for visitation from 4-8 pm on Thursday, March 26, at the funeral home. In honor of Tim's parents and others in his family who have been lost to cancer, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.     Fountain City, Ind. - Richard L. "Dick" Hawkins, 80, of Fountain City, passed away on Tuesday, March 17. He was born on March 11, 1935 in Richmond to Oscar F. "Chick" and Florence S. Mills Hawkins. He was a 1953 graduate of Centerville High School and later served six years in the Indiana Army National Guard. He married the former Delores "Dee" Short 59 years ago on November 22, 1956. Dick retired from Dana Perfect Circle after 31 years of service in the foundry. He formerly served in the Wayne County Sheriff's Reserve. He was an IHSAA umpire and coached three generations of Little League in Fountain City. He also served 23 years on the Fountain City Town Board. Dick was a history buff and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Richmond. Dick will be missed by his wife, Dee Hawkins; daughters, Kathy Champagne and her husband, Don; and Terry Hawkins-Wiesehan; son, Deron Hawkins and his wife, Dana; grandchildren, Todd Wiesehan, Brendan (Cassie) Finley, Andrew (Angelina) Finley, Caiden Hawkins and Kinley Hawkins; great-grandson, Gavin Finley; sisters, Susy (David) Bond and Helen (Tom) Vickroy; brothers, Sam (Carol) Polver, Elmer (Wanda) Hawkins, Jack (Delores) Hawkins, Ben Hawkins, Joe (Becky) Hawkins and Dave (Shelly) Hawkins; and numerous nieces & nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Rick Wiesehan, in 2014; brothers, Billy Hawkins in 1939 and Donald Hawkins in 2011. A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.     Fountain City, Ind. - Ethel I. Moore, 93, of Fountain City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2015. She was born on March 5, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio to Charles and Mary Wolfal Gordon. She graduated from Hollansburg High School. She lived in Fountain City most of her life and was a member of the former Fountain City United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moore retired from the Richmond Baking Company in 1989 after 40 years of service. She was active in the Fountain City Senior Center for many years and was named their Woman of the Year in 1992. She enjoyed reading and watching Indiana Fever, Indiana Pacers and Indiana University Basketball. Mrs. Moore will be missed by her daughter & son-in-law, Pat & Dwight Fulton; sons & daughters-in-law Gordon & Tricia Moore and Duane & Robin Moore; six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one brother, Albert Gordon, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Martha Ratliff and Carolyn Brooks; and two brothers, Lowell Gordon and Leroy Pittman. He was born in Salem, Indiana on April 25, 1954 to James Ray and Audrey Mae (Lovell) Clark. His wife Diana passed away in 2006. He was a graduate of Southport High School in Southport, Indiana and became an ASE certified mechanic. For the past 20 years Doug had been a minister for the Church of Christ. Survivors include his children April Clark, Amber (Jarrod) McDevitt, Adam (Amanda) Clark and Alan (Ada) Clark; sisters Sherry (John) Myers and Sandy (Alan) Boone; grandchildren Ryan, Evan, Adrienne and Gabriella Clark and Dean McDevitt and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife Diana Clark, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Isabelle Clark. Friends may call on Friday (February 6, 2015) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Riggle Waltermann Mortuary in Richmond, Indiana and also on Saturday (February 7, 2015) from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery and Funeral Home.     Fountain City - Margie Roberts, 91, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was born on July 30, 1923 in Caryville, Tennessee to Carl and Pearl Disney Smith. She shared 40 years of marriage with Clifford H. Roberts before his death in 1985. Mrs. Roberts lived in Fountain City for several years before moving to Richmond in 1983. She was retired from the former Phillips Recording Company, where she was an inspector. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Richmond. Mrs. Roberts will be missed by her daughters & sons-in-law, Donna & Tom Perry and Julie & Beau Townsend; son & daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Terry Roberts; son-in-law, Chris Buchanan; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, five sisters-in-law and two very special friends, Geraldine Bennett and Lola Brown. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sandy Buchanan, in 2012; grandson, Michael Daugherty, in 1966; great-grandson, Braden Roberts, in 2002; great-grandson, Sydney Roberts, in 2012; granddaughter-in-law, Shari Daugherty, in 2009; and three brothers, Richard, James and Gene Smith. A funeral ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 US 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery.
