    A Pittston couple is facing felony theft and forgery charges alleging they stole tens of thousands of dollars while the woman worked as an office manager at a local construction company. Ashley Lynn Weida, 26, was charged Wednesday with 102 counts of theft and 135 counts of forgery, while her boyfriend, William L. Iveson III, 37, faces 37 felony theft counts.

The lawsuit Officer Peter Lakkis filed against police Chief Frederick Lahovski and former council President Joe Chacke will go forward after Lakkis failed to prove the chief agreed to a settlement, U.S. District Judge Robert Mariani ruled Wednesday.
