We shopped for the same eight items at the same eight places in six different communities - Crestview and Niceville, which have fewer tourists, and Navarre, Fort Walton Beach, Destin and South Walton, which have more tourists. Our findings were a little mixed.

    The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, which owns the 6.5-acre property on Commons Drive, announced Friday that it will accept lease proposals until noon Aug. 4. Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation CEO Marcia Hull said the aim is to attain "a viable and sustainable tenant" that meets the eligibility requirements and land-use restrictions governed by the Mattie Kelly 908 Trust. The trust, which must approve the ultimate use of the property, is requiring leaseholders to maintain a public swimming pool and provide activities for children under 21 and senior citizens over 55. "We are going to submit a proposal," said Pam Braseth, secretary of the Fitness Foundation.
