    All garbage, recycling and yard waste collections in unincorporated Lee County, the City of Bonita Springs and the Town of Fort Myers Beach will take place one day after the regularly scheduled collection day for the entire week beginning May 28. This means that if your regular collection day is Monday, the collection truck will pick up that material on Tuesday. Tuesday's regularly scheduled pickups will occur on Wednesday and so on, the rest of the week through Saturday.

According to the FHP accident report, a 2003 Chevy Malibu, driven by Angel Martinez, 26, of Fort Myers, was heading north on State Road 865, when pedestrian Alfred Lebeau, 70, of Fort Myers "left the safety of the adjacent sidewalk and entered into the path of" Martinez' vehicle.
