    A man and woman from Arizona were arrested Saturday by Fort Morgan Police after 16 pounds of methamphetamine valued at more than $700,000 was found in their vehicle in the parking lot of Fort Morgan's Walmart store. FMPD officers responded to a call for a welfare check in the Walmart parking lot at 1:43 p.m. Saturday.

    The Fort Morgan Police Department has completed its investigation into the shooting deaths of two Fort Morgan residents on June 29, and all evidence indicates the incident was a murder-suicide, according to Police Chief Darin Sagel. Bert Kammerzell, 51, and Debbie Kammerzell, 51, both of Fort Morgan, died June 29 in their home at 811 Prospect St. According to police, a 911 call was received from that address at 10:54 p.m. on June 29. Two Morgan County Sheriff's deputies were the first to arrive at the residence and observed a male party later identified as Bert Kammerzell standing by the front door and waving them into the house.
