    Ft. Lauderdale Police Officer Victor Ramirez was filmed as he tried to escort Bruce Laclair off the property of the Broward bus terminal. Laclair tells Officer Ramirez he needs to use the bathroom and Ramirez shoves him to the ground, causing his head to hit the brick, then follows with a hard slap across the face, causing him to fall again. 2 comments

Lauderdale, Florida -- Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist filed an emergency motion with the Circuit Court for the 17th Judicial Circuit to extend voting hours in Broward County from 7 pm to 9 pm. The filing came less than an hour before the polls were supposed to close at 7. "It's man's inhumanity to man is all it is." Fort Lauderdale police charged three men -- including two pastors and a 90-year-old man -- for feeding the homeless in public on Sunday... In 1999, the city tried to stop Abbott from feeding the homeless on Fort Lauderdale Beach, prompting a lawsuit from Abbott, which he won.
