    On Wednesday, Aug. 12, Chief Dan Honigford of the Ottoville Fire Department was presented with funding totaling $850 from the Elks National Foundation, a perpetual trust fund established many years ago by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and from the Ohio Elks Association and from the Lima Fifty Four Scholastic and Athletic fund and from the Lima Elks Lodge #54 for the purchase of an Altair 4X Multigas Detector. After a fire the air is tested for the oxygen level to determine if it is safe for firefighters to work without air packs.
