    A man was taken into custody Monday after a brief foot chase in the Okay area of Wagoner County. A Wagoner County Sheriff's Deputy checked out a vehicle near Fort Gibson dam and discovered that the occupant, Jimmy Friddle, had a felony warrant for his arrest, according to the WCSO.

Earlier this summer, part of the Long Bay Marina was underwater after being damaged by high winds, but, they have rebuilt some of it and are recovering.

    The Muskogee County District Attorney called on multiple agencies and the community Thursday to participate in a funeral for a baby boy who was born in May at a Muskogee hospital but did not survive. 'Baby Boy Taylor,' as he's been called, died May 30, 2017, and following his autopsy, the Medical Examiner had no point of contact for the baby, DA Orvil Loge wrote in a letter to Muskogee agencies.
