The night, sponsored by North Country Public Radio, begins at 7 p.m. with music, food and small activities, leading into the Homefront: Fort Drum event at 9 p.m. A screening of the military-themed romantic drama “Amira and Sam” is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. This event is being held as a part of Homefront: Fort Drum, the local effort of a national project to uncover stories that may otherwise be overlooked.

Mr. Blodgett, roommate Eric Rockwell and their house guest all escaped unharmed from the overnight fire that extensively damaged his house at 316 N. California Ave. City police are investigating it as a suspicious fire, which damaged a neighboring house and Mr. Rockwell's black Chrysler Sebring that was sitting in the driveway.
