    HIGHLAND >> The two men arrested in connection with the stray gunfire that killed a 4-year-old boy frequented the neighborhood, and targeted passengers inside a car that was only a few yards from the home where the boy was playing, authorities said. Maurice Allen Kelley, 25, of Fontana and Darron Daniels, 20, of Highland were arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder late Thursday night after the two were picked up by San Bernardino County sheriff's investigators near 11th and G streets in San Bernardino.

    FONTANA >> Research conducted using medical records of 322,000 children born at Kaiser Permanente Hospitals in Southern California shows that diabetes in early pregnancy will increase a child's risk for developing autism. Children born from mothers who developed gestational diabetes by the 26th week of pregnancy were 40 percent more likely to be diagnosed with autism, said Dr. Edward Curry, a pediatrician at Kaiser Fontana, who was the study's co-author.
