    Federal charges could be coming for a jailed Fenton businessman accused of embezzling more than $20 million from an Oakland County credit union. Michael A. LaJoice, who is in the Oakland County Jail awaiting a psychological examination , faces 14 state felony counts alleging that LaJoice stole money from the Clarkston Brandon Community Credit Union in several $100,000 chunks and deposited them into several of his personal accounts.

    Genesee County Animal Control has received information that a person identifying themselves as an officer with the department is going to homes in the Fenton-area asking residents about dog licenses, according to a news release from the Genesee County Board of Commissioners. The suspicious person was reported to be dressed in professional looking clothing and showed residents a lanyard with identification, according to the release.
