    The median selling price of residential real estate in Metro Detroit climbed 14.2 percent on an annual basis to $145,000 in October, marking the 20th-straight month of price growth, according to figures released Monday by Farmington Hills-based Realcomp. While the median selling price continued to climb throughout the region, overall sales of homes in terms of units declined, dropping 6.3 percent year-over-year to 4,673 homes sold in Metro Detroit last month, according to Realcomp, the Multiple Listing Service for Southeast Michigan.
