    The National Weather Service in Jackson confirmed a tornado touched down at 6:05 pm Monday evening on the east side of Bear Lake, which is 8 miles northwest of Tallulah in Madison Parish. This storm was also responsible for producing a funnel cloud in Bernice and Farmerville as it crossed Union Parish earlier in the evening.

    The rain and the dark clouds quickly covered parts of Union Parish along Highway 2. The wind picked up, and some folks took cover in the surrounding areas like in Ouachita Parish. In Union Parish, the storm got so bad, one deputy pulled over and advised not to drive past Crossroads because there had been reports of a tornado and hail a few miles west.
