    A man, whose identity has not yet been released, was airlifted to Louisville after falling off of a cliff in the Indian Valley area of Falls of Rough on Friday afternoon, May 26. After 12 p.m. on Friday, emergency response personnel responded to the incident in the area of Indian Ridge Road off of Indian Valley in Falls of Rough. According to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins, a man fell approximately 40 to 55 feet off of a cliff onto the ground below, narrowly missing a large rock.

    A Falls of Rough man was arrested and charged this week for the murder of 29-year-old Tromain J. Mackall, whose body was found last July inside a tool box floating in Spring Fork Creek in Grayson County. The Kentucky State Police announced on Tuesday, March 14 that KSP detectives had charged 48-year-old William E. Howard, Jr., of Falls of Rough, with the kidnapping and murder of Mackall.

    At approximately 7:25 p.m. on Friday, a white male entered Crossroads Grocery in Falls of Rough wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun, according to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled in a Ford SUV, possibly an Explorer, northbound on KY 79 with an undisclosed amount of cash, Chaffins said.

    A suspected would-be thief was held at gunpoint in Falls of Rough after he was confronted by homeowners Tuesday night, Nov. 15. At approximately 8:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Grayson County Central Dispatch received a call from a motorist stating that two men were holding another man at gunpoint near the 2400 block of Pleasant Run Road in Falls of Rough in Grayson County. According to a news release from Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins, the two men, whose names have not been released by authorities, were homeowners who were advised by a neighbor that their residence, located on Pleasant Run Road, had items missing from inside and around it.

    The Grayson County Sheriff's Office announced this week that it will provide a first-ever mobile tax collection service for Grayson County residents during the discount period in November.     At 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, the Grayson County Sheriff's Office received a call that a black Ford Fusion had been stolen from the parking lot of Save-A-Lot in Leitchfield, according to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins. One minute later, GCSO Sergeant Jarrod Mudd, who was travelling in the opposite direction, passed the stolen Ford travelling at high rate of speed near Scotty's Contracting & Stone on Highway 54, Chaffins said.

    At around 3:19 p.m. on Friday, the Leitchfield Police and Fire Departments and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of William Thomason Byway and Grayson Springs Road. Prior to the crash, a gold 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven by Kathy Duggins, 46, of Falls of Rough, was travelling northbound on the bypass when it collided with a black 2012 Buick Verano, driven by Clifford Hazelwood, 46, of Leitchfield, according to an accident report by Leitchfield Police Officer Brandon Rafferty.
