    Fairfield-based Missouri Street Youth Theatre seeks young people ages 5 and up for its fall program, which starts in September and ends in November with a staging of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Tim Rice, the 1970 musical tells a version of the biblical story . Joseph is sold as a slave by his brothers because of his ability to explain people's dreams.

Steven James Douglas, 31, was booked into Solano County Jail shortly before 11:30 p.m. on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling, reckless discharge of a firearm, threatening a police officer and on a probation violation.

Employees adopted Padan Elementary School in Vacaville and Fairview Elementary School in Fairfield and stopped by the hospital to collect items like copy paper, washable markers, Crayola crayons, anti-bacterial wipes, tissues, pencils and backpacks which will then be taken to the two schools and passed out to students and teachers.

Robert J. Vega, 32, is accused of killing off-duty Richmond police officer Augustine Vegas Jr., 58, at his Glen Cove home in the early morning hours of Feb. 11, and then kidnapping his 6-year-old son, who is Vegas' grandson.
