In the Vallejo-Fairfield area, home prices, including distressed sales, increased 7.3 percent in March compared to a year ago and by 1.4 percent compared to February, according to CoreLogic's most recent report.

The attorney's comments came on the first day of testimony in the jury trial for 24-year-old Delwan Blazer, who is accused of shooting at two men behind a Crowley Lane apartment complex.
