    Dawn Diana Raines-Hewes, 51, appeared in Solano County Superior Court in front of Judge John Ellis with her defense counsel Thursday where Deputy Public Defender Sara Johnson revealed she is still waiting on “additional discovery” to be made available by prosecutors. Raines-Hewes is accused of intentionally drowning her 4-year-old grandson, Richard Kite, at her home in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street on the morning of Dec. 29. When Fairfield police responded to Raines-Hewes' home that day for a report of a drowning, they discovered the boy unconscious and not breathing in the hallway, police said.
