    An Ohio legislator from Cincinnati says there's no reason to believe that a new law is needed for such situations as the killing of a zoo gorilla after a small child got into his enclosure. State Sen. Cecil Thomas, D-Cincinnati, had said earlier he would look into possible legislation providing for fines or criminal charges for negligence resulting in the death of an endangered animal.

    Fairborn police arrested John Osterday, 40, of Fairborn, for allegedly stealing 22 air conditioning units on a sporadic-basis from February until May this year, according to a release from the Fairborn Police Department.     The Fairborn Division of Water and Sewer issued a boil water advisory for varying areas of the city Monday, May 23, which has been canceled as of Tuesday, May 24. A letter from Fairborn Utilities Superintendent Karen Hawkins said the precautionary advisory was issued in compliance with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency guidelines due to a major water main break.
