    Previous: Heavy winds on the North Coast knocked out power for about 9,600 PG&E customers across Humboldt and Mendocino counties this morning, a PG&E spokesperson said, and the Humboldt Bay Fire-Eureka Police Dispatch Center reported it processed 39 emergency calls for service in 30 minutes because of the weather. Most of the calls were for downed power lines, trees across roads, and flooded roadways, a Humboldt Bay Fire news release stated, and at one point this morning all fire personnel were committed on various incidents.

    Officials on Monday named both the California Highway Patrol officer and Hoopa teen involved in a deadly altercation in Willow Creek, and also identified the 14-year-old Arcata resident killed in Eureka. Richard Fredrick Tis Mil Estrada, 17, was fatally shot by California Highway Patrol Officer Tim Gray on Thursday after Estrada attacked Gray with a machete, according to press releases from the Humboldt County Coroner's Office and the California Highway Patrol.
