    After taking a 38-36 lead on Alex Miller's 3-pointer, Estherville Lincoln Central made the plays in the fourth quarter to come away with a 43-36 victory over Emmetsburg to sweep the season series with the E'Hawks. The two teams had combined to shoot 79 free throws in the first outing, a 62-54, Midget victory on Jan. 8. This second meeting was much tamer by comparison with both teams settling in a zone defense for the game and working the ball around until a good shot presented itself.

In the end, statewide, the 30 Iowa Republican delegates were split among Ted Cruz with eight, Donald Trump and Marco Rubio with seven each, Ben Carson with three, Jeb Bush with one, and none for any remaining candidates.
