    As a former director of the Nursing Home in Estes Park, I must say that the current tax plan presented by the GOP will not only increase the deficit by trillions of dollars, the proposed cuts to Medicare and Medicaid could create havoc in the health care system that these payments support. Both my husband and I are past health-care practitioners who are appalled at this possibility, not only because it would affect retirees like us who depend on Medicare, but also because cuts to Medicaid would further disadvantage those with the greatest need.
