Joshua Ward was convicted of attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, fourth-degree assault, coercion, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, delivery of methamphetamine, possession of meth and possession of cocaine.

    A former city councilor in Estacada, about 30 miles southeast of Portland, has pleaded no contest to sexually abusing a female relative for six years starting when she was 6. The Oregonian/OregonLive reports 34-year-old Curt Steininger entered the plea Tuesday and also pleaded no contest to possessing child pornography. An eight-year prison sentence will be recommended as part of a plea agreement.
