    A Grant County Sheriff's K-9 is being credited with saving the life of a man with Alzheimer's disease, who wandered away from his home overnight. A woman called deputies around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, and said that her 85-year-old husband was missing from their home in the 11000 block of Road A-Northwest, just southeast of Ephrata.

    Grant County Sheriff's deputies say Vazquez was driving south on Road K-Northewst at a high speed and didn't stop at the interesection with Road 9-Northwest, colliding with Norris who was driving east on Road 9. Both vehicles came to a stop in a field southeast of the intersection, and Vazquez's car caught fire. Vazquez was remove from his car and suffered critical injuries.

Even though the Supreme Court has ruled that kids who commit murder when they are under the age of 16 can't be sentenced to life without parole, Barry Loukiatis may still die of old age behind bars.
