A nationally known artist and University of California, Davis, professor, Malaquias Montoya of Elmira speaks with Helen Anderson of Petaluma as they continue to work on a 8-by-21-foot mural at Markham Elementary School that is dedicated to the memory of Anne Starr, a former teacher at the Markham Avenue school who died of ovarian cancer in 2017.
