Artist Malaquias Montoya is perhaps best-known in Yolo County and beyond as a muralist and printmaker, his creative roots blossoming during the Chicano poster art movement of the mid-1960s and early 1970s, with artists' images and text drawing attention to several civil rights movements and anti-war protests.
