What makes a supper club authentic? How did the Friday night fish fry originate? Why are Manhattans and Old-Fashioneds made with brandy in Wisconsin? And what's with the funny name "supper club" anyway? We welcome reader discussion but strive to keep things civil.

    2Several tools and an undisclosed amount of cash were stolen from a garage in the 4600 block of Shagbark Lane sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. June 22. 3Appliances, outboard engines, tools and miscellaneous items were stolen from a garage in the 15900 block of Raven Rock Road sometime during the night of June 21 or early morning hours of June 22. 4Someone took approximately $1,600 worth of merchandise from Victoria's Secret, 95 N. Moorland Road, sometime between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. June 20. 5An undisclosed amount of merchandise was stolen by either three or four unknown women at Victoria's Secret, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 3:50 p.m. June 16. A store manager told police that four women came into the store with empty bags, and three left with full bags.
