    A growing brush fire has closed both directions of Interstate 90, about six miles east of Ellensburg, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. A level 3 evacuation, which means residents should leave immediately, has been authorized for Vantage in Kittitas County, according to the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office.

    A large-scale search involving law enforcement personnel from Washington, Idaho and as far as Montana was conducted Kittitas County over the weekend searching for evidence in the area where the skeletal remains of 10-year-old Lindsey Baum were found last fall. Last week authorities in Grays Harbor County announced that a DNA analysis confirmed remains found in Western Washington by hunters belonged to Baum.

    Twenty-five vehicles - including three jackknifed semi trucks - were involved in multiple collisions Saturday, causing minor injuries and major delays as westbound Interstate 90 east of Cle Elum shut down for hours all the way to Ellensburg. Trooper Brian Moore of the Washington State Patrol first reported the collisions on Twitter at 10:31 a.m. The closure that started at milepost 88 eventually was extended farther east to Ellensburg at milepost 109 to allow emergency crews to reach the crashes, said Trooper John Bryant, spokesman for the WSP based in Kittitas County.
