    Elizabethtown, Ky., will host the Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup, the largest recreational youth soccer tournament in the United States, at Elizabethtown Sports Park on May 9-10. The Under-10 through Under-16 boys and girls participating will bring together 75 teams for the annual Kohl's American Cup held in Elizabethtown.

    United Way of Central Kentucky officially opened the doors to its new home located at 604 North Main St. in Elizabethtown during an open house and ribbon cutting Dec. 17. Local businessman and United Way of Central Kentucky Board Member, Kevin Addington, purchased the historic Kerrick House during an auction in 2013. Addington completely renovated the space, building on an addition while preserving the history of the original structure which was built in 1894.

    Led by senior Courtney Vincent's round of 80, the Lady Cougar golf team finished fourth at the 3rd Region Girls Golf Championship, held Monday at the Elizabethtown Country Club, in Elizabethtown. It was the first time in a number of years that the Lady Cougars had enough golfers to qualify for a team score.
