Angel Marie Sawyer, 45, wife of the victim, and Isaac Dustin Melcher, 38, were indicted by a Pasquotank grand jury on Aug. 27, each on one count of first-degree murder of Milton Henry Sawyer Jr., 55. A check of the court files late last week didn't provide investigative details of the homicide, which occurred on Aug. 2 at the Sawyer home off Darian Drive.
