    The San Gabriel Valley Airport in El Monte will once again welcome the public to join pilots and aircraft enthusiasts for a day of high-flying fun next weekend during its annual Open House and Air Fair The free event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 29 at the airport , 4233 Santa Anita Avenue , according to airport officials. This year's even will include special honors for firefighting, police and armed forces aviators, said San Gabriel Valley Association president and Air Fair Committee chairman.
