    At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Franklin police were called to a parking lot in the 300 block of East Jefferson Street, where a man had been accidentally shot inside a vehicle. Zachary Hogan, 21, of Edinburgh, was shot in the torso and was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was remained in critical condition Thursday evening, according to the hospital.

But installing more warning signals, including arms that block traffic from crossing when a train is approaching, isn't an option due to the cost, which could total more than $1.5 million, Edinburgh Town Manager Wade Watson said.
