    Wednesday Jul 20 | NorthJersey.com

Edgewater resident and Holy Angels junior Kelly Sim signed for a 4 on the 18th hole, but made a 5. Her correct tally was 3-over 76. The 16-year-old from Edgewater was disqualified late Tuesday night by the United State Golf Association for signing a scorecard whose hole-by-hole numbers added up to a lower total than her actual score following Tuesday's second round of stroke-play qualifying at The Ridgewood Country Club. While Sim knew she shot 3-over-par 76 for a two-day total of 5-over 151 that easily qualified her for Wednesday's start of 64-player match play, she did not realize that one of the other golfers in her threesome had listed her on the scorecard for a four rather than a five on the par-4 18th hole.
