    Authorities have released the name of a man who died after the utility vehicle he was riding went through ice on a lake in Mid-Michigan. The Midland County Sheriff's Office said the body of 58-year-old Randy Myers of Breckenridge was pulled from the water Tuesday night by the Edenville Township Fire Department at Sanford Lake in Midland County and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    A 9-year-old girl says two men in that van offered her a ride and attempted to lure her with candy. The unusual bumper sticker on the black Ford or GMC van reads "I Candy."

    Police are looking for a black Ford or GMC panel van allegedly involved in a suspicious situation on Dec. 30. A 9-year-old girl told the Midland County Sheriff's Office that she was walking a short distance home from a friend's house in the 200 block of Fike Road in Edenville Township when a man tried to lure her over. Around 4:45 p.m., the van with an "I Heart Candy" bumper sticker pulled into a driveway along the girl's path in Edenville Township and the male driver got out wearing black clothes and a ski mask.

    Those roads included 9 Mile Road north of M-20, Water Street in the Edenville area, and 8 Mile Road not too far from the county line. Road Commission Managing Director and Engineer Terry Palmer said at least 70 of those roads needed some type of temporary or permanent fix as a result.
